DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival Srinagar Airport / Srinagar Local Sightseeing

Hotel: Deluxe Houseboat / Similar

Meals: Dinner Only

Arrival Srinagar Airport on or before 11:55 flight and pickup from airport on 12:30pm. Welcome the City of lakes meet our representative and transfer to houseboat for relaxation. After lunch visit famous Mughal Garden, Nishat Bagh known as ‘Garden of Pleasure’ built in 16th century (1633) by Mughal King Asif Khan. Then visit to Shalomar Garden known as ‘Garden of Love’ built in 16th century (1619) by Mughal King Jahangir for his beloved wife Noor Jahan or Mehr-Un-Nissa. After that visit to Chashma Shahi. The Chashma ShahiMughal gardens in Srinagar have been loved by emperors and picnickers alike and have now been restored to their past glory – despite violent political unrest in the garden. Overnight stay in Houseboat in Srinagar.

Day 02: Srinagar to Kargil via Sonamarg & Drass Village

Day 03:  Kargil to Leh

Day 04: Leh Local Sightseeing

After an early breakfast you would be driven to Nubra Valley. Enroute visit Khardung-la-pass, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380ft. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive at Hunder & check in at Hotel/Camps. Later visit Diskit Village & enjoy the Camel ride on sand dunes. Dinner & overnight Rest at hotel.

Day 06: Nubra to Turtuk

Day 07: Hunder to Pangong Via Shayok Valley

Today after breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive to Pangong Lake  and driving via Shayok river ,Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh and perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia which changes its color 4 – 5 times a day over night in Pangong Lake. Check in at Hotel / Camps. Dinner & overnight Rest at hotel / Camps.

Day 08: Pangong to Hanley

The Indian Astronomical Observatory (IAO), located at Hanley, India, has one of the world’s highest sites for optical, infrared and gamma-ray telescopes. It is operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore. It is currently the tenth (see List of highest astronomical observatories) highest optical telescope in the world, situated at an elevation of 4,500 meters (14,764 ft). Check in at Hotel. Day 09: Hanley to Tsomoriri

After breakfast proceed towards Tsomoriri. Tso Moriri or Lake Moriri or “Mountain Lake”, is a lake in the Ladakhi part of the Chungthang Plateau in Jammu and Kashmir in northern India. The lake and surrounding area are protected as the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve. The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m (14,836 ft). It is the largest of the high altitude lakes entirely within India and entirely within Ladakh in this Trans-Himalayan biogeographic region. It is about 16 miles (26 km) north to south in length and two to three miles (3 to 5 km) wide. The lake has no outlet at present and the water is brackish though not very perceptible to taste. The lake is fed by springs and snow-melt from neighboring mountains. Most water enters the lake in two major stream systems, one entering the lake from the north, the other from the southwest. Both stream systems include extensive marshes where they enter the lake. It formerly had an outlet to the south, but this has become blocked and the lake has become a endorheic lake. The lake is oligotrophic in nature, and its waters are alkaline. Accessibility to the lake is largely limited to summer season, though Karzok on the northwest shore and the military facilities on the eastern shores have year-round habitation. Day 10: Tosommrri to Sarchu

Leave Tosommrri by early morning, through Nakeela and Lachangla Pass 16,617 ft. Lunch at Pang. After Lunch drive to Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (Biggest and Highest Plateau on Earth on Stretch of 42 Kms), Tanglang La Pass 17,585ft and Indus Valley. Check in to the camp at Sarchu (4253 m), border of the states of Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul) and Jammu & Kashmir (Ladakh). Dinner & overnight Rest at Camp.

Day 11: Sarchu – Manali

Today we start our journey from Serchu to Manali. Today we cross Baralacha Pass (4890m), Keylong (3350 m), Rohtang Pass (3978 m). Check in to the Hotel at Manali. Dinner & overnight Rest at hotel.

  • We are not responsible for missing luggage. Guests are requested to check vehicle / room / camp before they release/ depart.
  • We are not liable for any travelling or accidental or death insurance or claiming or settlement or Refund to guests for travelling on the above mentioned route. We shall not responsible for provide any document to guest in case any emergency occur.
  • We are not liable for any health problem or accidental issue or death issue of each guest. We will guide or help to arrange first aid only and inform guest relative’s (if contact detail is available with us) and guest relative will take care with direct payment basis. This route will cover very remote areas so guest should be aware of that before booking.
  • We shall not be responsible for any cancellation of cabs or due to Bad weather, Snow Fall, Strike, Landslide, Army Movement, Terrorism or any other reason not mentioned early, we are not liable for it. Hotel / Camp / Guest House can be changed in any emergency situation for your convenience, no refund in any case and extra charge on direct payment basis if applied.
  • Tourism on the entire Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Circuit from Srinagar to Leh to Nubra to Turtuk to Pangong to Hanle to Tsomoriri to Sarchu to Manali to Chandigarh is completely dependent on Inner Line Permits issued by Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh & Himachal Police and Indian Armed Forces. Discretion of issuing permits solely depend on these authorities. We can’t guarantee the trip if permission is not granted due to military operations, snowfall, natural calamities, close day, terrorism, any other emergency situation or insufficient documentation by guests.
  • All Hotel / Guest House / Camp / Vehicle owners are responsible for the services they provide. Must be addressed immediately to the respective owners. We are not liable to address complaints later.
  • Each guest must carry personal Medicines.
  • Rate may varies with seasonal hike. We have to full right to postpone / prepone / cancle the trip with / without any prior notice and no compensation can be provided. Refund the payment as per our refund policy.
  • Seating arrangement in cab is fully controlled by us and room allotment in hotel is fully controlled by owner of hotel. Seating arrangement must be changed on each alternately days.
  • If any guest availing our service that means they are fully agreed with our all terms and conditions. Requesting all guest read all terms and condition carefully before booking.

GUEST HEALTH AND FITNESS REQUIREMENTS

To ensure that all participants get the most out of the tour, it is important that you are fully aware of the level of activity, fitness and medical health required to successfully complete this itinerary. Please read this dossier carefully prior to confirming your place on the tour and, having established the facts, it is your responsibility to contact us with any concerns regarding individual levels of fitness, health, or ability. If you would like to discuss any of these issues further please contact us.

NOTE: Acute mountain sickness can occur to any one at an altitude above 10,000 ft. from the sea level. The most common symptoms of acute mountain sickness are headache disturb sleep loss of appetite, nausea, coughing, irregular breathing, breathlessness, lassitude and lack of concentration. Since Leh Town is situated at an altitude of 11,500 ft. above sea level. It is advisable to take the following precautions, so as to acclimatize your body properly.

  • Take complete rest for the first 36 hours of your arrival at Leh. However, this period may vary with different people.
  • Your body should get used to the lower oxygen levels.
  • In case you develop any of the above-mentioned symptoms, please consult a Doctor.
  • Rescue and precaution for mountaineering and trekking in Ladakh.
  • Tourist undertaking mountaineering and trekking in Ladakh, whether in groups or individual, should take some precautions. There is no private aerial rescue agency in Ladakh and only as a life saving measure; engaging the Indian Air Force help in evacuation.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

DO’s

  • Always carry drinking water and dry food.
  • Take Disprin with you if you want to go to Khardung La, as it is very high altitude of 5359m.
  • If you are not able to go further from a particular spot in day, do not move stay there, as road condition is very bad in some places and it would be very difficult to travel in night.
  • Temperature in Ladakh is too low and if you will throw any biodegradable item, it will remain in the same state for very long time, especially in snow, people defecate and the shit remains in the same form for years, so please try the Ladakhi winter toilets.
  • Use vehicles, which have good-ground clearance and are in good condition. SUVs like Tata Sumo Grande, Toyota Qualis and Highlander, Mitsubishi Pajero work best over there.
  • Make a first-aid box and carry proper medicines for headache, fever, and vomiting also in it.
  • There is electricity problem in Leh, so it is better to take extra batteries for digital products like camera, mobiles phones, etc. Charge them fully before leaving for the tour. You may not get electricity at some remote places and also because of the cold, the battery gets discharged soon.
  • People there are very friendly and hospitable. Respect them.

DON’T’s

  • If you reach Leh by air, stay that day and do not plan to go anywhere for that day, as you will need a day or two to acclimatize yourself. Drink plenty of fluids with ORS mixture (that does not include alcohol), do not move much for the first two to three days.
  • Don’t use Polythene bags. Ladakh is a “no polythene” zone. Kindly respect this and please carry back all the plastic you take with you.
  • Refill your water bottles instead of buying new ones. Mountain water is good. If you have doubt, boil it and refill.
  • Wear nice clothes covering your body while on roads, especially while visiting a Buddhist Gompas.

CLIMATE

Ladakh lies on the rain shadow side of the Himalayan. Where dry monsoon winds reaches Leh after being robbed of its moisture in plains and the Himalayan Mountain. The district combines the condition of both arctic and desert climate. Therefore Ladakh is often called “COLD DESERT” The main features of this COLD DESERT are:

  • Wide diurnal and seasonal fluctuations in temperature with -40°C in Winter and + 35°C in Summer.
  • Precipitation is very low with annual precipitation of 10cm mainly inform of snow.
  • Air is very dry and relative humidity range from 6-24%

WHAT TO PACK

You will encounter a range of temperatures so taking layers allows you to minimize your luggage but cover up if the temperature drops. Women may prefer to cover their shoulders and knees to avoid unwanted attention, and both men and women will need to cover their legs while in temples and monasteries.

POSTPONE/PREPONE POLICY:

  • This package is a Fixed Departure so no Prepone & Postpone are allowed.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If the Client is willing to amend or cancel his / her Ladakh Road Trip because of whatsoever reasons including death, accident, illness, or any other personal reasons including non-payment of the balance amount, we have the full right to recover the Cancellation charges from the Client. All cancellations are to be communicated in written and charge will be levied as follows:-

  • On or before 30 days prior to departure of the tour 75% of total tour cost.
  • 29 days to 15 days prior to departure of the tour 85% of total tour cost.
  • 14 days to 07 days prior to departure of the tour 90% of total tour cost.
  • On or before 07 days of departure or no shows 100% of total tour cost.

Note: Guest will receive the refund amount within 30 days after the tour completion.

  • 50 % of the total package cost must be deposited as an advance in our account, to confirm the final package.
  • Remaining 50 % of the package cost must be deposited on or before 60 days of journey started.
  • Customers must carry the issued confirmation letter on their trip as it contains important information like confirmed hotel, Cab Details and Service contact Numbers.
